For our project, we have implemented a LED monitor device which changes its brightness depending on measurements of distance or temperature. The user will specify whether the device should take a measurement for distance or temperature and the device will change its brightness according to the measurement. For higher temperatures and longer distances the brightness of the LED will be brighter. For lower temperatures and smaller distances the brightness of the LED will be lower.
Week 1 updates:
Came up with project concept and turned in project proposal.
Week 2 updates:
Ordered ADXL343 accelerometer and OLED screen.
Week 3 updates:
All parts arrived. Soldered the accelorometer for more stable connections. Began working on SPI interfacing for ADXL343. Ran into issues around reading static and dynamic data.
Week 4 updates:
Decided to use the terminal rather than the accelorometer to trigger a measurement.
Week 5 updates:
Decided to change the brightness of the LED to correspond to different readings. Completed project implementation and demo video.
